I've finally tackled the mountain of paperwork that's built up in my study all winter and cleared my desk so I have room to create another pile of stuff that doesn't require my immediate attention. I had a great time feeding my super new cross cut shredder with all the un-reconciled bank and credit card statements and only had to empty the bin when I'd finished. It did occur to me that loads of people must just lob all this stuff in the recycling bin - perfect hunting ground for any identify thieves out there! What do you do with your confidential waste? My car insurance is due this month so I logged onto a well advertised web site last night to get some quotes.
What I wanted was a simple list of policies, a digestible summary of the cover available and the going rate for the options so I could buy a policy and go do something more interesting.
